Today is the day of celebration; my husband and I visited Jajiru Small Zoo located in Byeongcheon, Cheonan. The price was affordable, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to show the animals to Yans. It’s about a 30-minute drive from where I live.
I considered whether to go to JujuPia, but since it costs 15,000 won per person and I still don’t know Yans’ reaction, I thought Jajiru would be just right for now.

After driving along a winding rural road, I arrived at Jajiru Small Zoo.
It’s really small. The parking space seems a bit tight, but it’s okay. Many families have come to play.

The admission fee for adults is 5,000 won, and for children, it is 7,000 won since children mainly play here, their admission is more expensive.
Yans is eight months old, so he is free!

After paying the admission fee, I was told that animal encounter food is free, and they gave me carrots and grass. They seem to be snacks that most animals can eat.

The first animal to greet us at the entrance was a cat. It looks like a cat I’ve seen somewhere before. I don’t know the name of the animal, so I’ll skip!
There were many different animals for a small zoo.

When I got close to the ducks, they were quacking noisily. The ducks seemed to be really interested in Yans.

I was quite surprised to see a suga. It was a little bit of a jump scare!

And there were baby goats that were said to be born five days ago. They are drinking milk. I heard a sad story that the mother goat died giving birth to the baby goats five days ago.

There are also arctic foxes and silver foxes, which are kept in the cage, and the zookeeper took them out, instructing not to get too close to their face because they could bite.
I didn’t even get close. I don’t take Yans near them either; I just watch from a distance.

And in one corner, there are turtles lying around. They are eating. They are said to be terrestrial turtles and they live for a very long time.
However, they warned me that they could bite, so they advised the kids not to feed them up close.

The sun was too hot, so I was worried about Yans getting sunburnt, so we only lightly explored for about an hour before returning.
For the price, it’s good. You can feed the animals directly and have a hands-on experience.
The zookeepers are very active and friendly, so when Yans starts walking, I plan to come back again.
