Mango Ray Jeju: Fresh Mango Desserts at the Flagship Cafe

Mango Ray: A Mango Dessert Cafe That Feels Like Southeast Asia

I love mango so much that I cannot walk past a mango shop, so even though we were full, we stopped by the flagship Mango Ray store in Jeju. I had assumed Mango Ray was a shop selling mangoes, but it turned out to be a dessert cafe.

The Southeast Asian mood hits you right at the entrance.

Fresh mangoes were piled on the display stand. It genuinely felt like Southeast Asia.

Prices and What We Ordered

Prices at Mango Ray were scary. This is by no means a budget-friendly place.

The Snow Mango Fruit looked gorgeous and I almost ordered it, but it turned out to be made with frozen mango.

It looked so pretty, but we decided fresh mango was the better call and ordered a Carabao fresh mango shake plus fresh Carabao mango.

The Taste

The visual was stunning and the taste was intensely sweet. It was exactly the flavor of the mangoes we had devoured in Thailand. The fresh mango shake tasted of mango, though my husband said it reminded him of cold pumpkin porridge.

I ate mine with delight.

The atmosphere really felt like Southeast Asia, and I liked that they sold so many different things. Right next door they sold soaps and scented candles.

They were exactly the ones we had seen in Thailand, but the prices were not cheap, so we passed. I wanted to sit longer, but my husband said we were wasting time, so we left Mango Ray in a hurry for the next stop.

Prices, hours and details in this post are from our visit in May 2017 and may have changed, so check the latest information before you go.
