Lotte Cinema Sanbon
It was designated movie day! I had planned to watch only Independence Day, but decided to watch The Jungle Book too. Both turned out to be so much fun. We watched with total concentration at Lotte Cinema Sanbon, inside the Lotte Fitin complex mall. Lotte Fitin is a nice all-in-one complex mall, but the parking lot is small for its size, and the elevators are small, slow, and few, which is the biggest downside.

I liked that Lotte Cinema Sanbon was not as crowded as expected.

The two of us, busy preparing for the movies. For the first movie: caramel popcorn and jumbo americanos, equipped!

Movie tickets bought with a membership to save money. We could only buy one each. I did not come alone, though.

But the photo is solo. Time to seriously watch movies. Sitting in the very back row made the screen look small. Next time I will sit in the middle.

The movie poster looks tacky, but I liked the lines. The one with Will Smith back in the day was so fun; it is a shame Will Smith is not in this one. I am a Will Smith fan.

True to the god-of-destruction director, everything gets smashed and blown away. The best! The coolest role went to Mr. President. Once a president, always a president. Honestly I am not sure who the main character is. Everyone is the main character! The queen alien was scary. I watched with sweaty palms.

And right on to the next movie. To buy movie snacks for The Jungle Book, I ran again. Since we had popcorn, this time it is hot dogs. “Hotdog on a stick”.

There are sample hot dogs.

Mini-size hot dog tasting, how novel and cute! Like dango.

Quickly picked up and munched.

I thought they would just microwave a hot dog, but they make it fresh.

I also ordered a drink, an ade. Both the ade and hot dog were delicious. Since we would eat inside the theater, I could not take detailed hot dog photos. But it was really, really, really good! Then it was time to watch The Jungle Book.

The Jungle Book in one phrase: Mowgli’s endless series of hardships. How does a young child endure such trials? He pulls off scenes even adults would struggle with. He will go far.

And the chemistry between Baloo the bear and Mowgli was amazing. The bear is so cute.

And the villain snake in the middle, voiced by Scarlett Johansson, with an amazing voice.

And throughout the movie, never knowing when Shere Khan would jump out kept me on edge. Scary.

I watched Mowgli holding my breath. It was really fun. At the sudden jump-scare scenes, I shrieked, and my partner teased me mercilessly for being scared. I choked and coughed in the theater, sobbing. Still, we both enjoyed both movies. Both picks were successes!
