Who It Suits

It’s ideal for elementary kids curious about salinity, currents and deep-sea life, and for families who want to experience both a sea walkway and an underwater view.
Routes by Grade

The official route for younger grades covers Zone 3 (waves and salinity), 4 (coral reefs and tidal flats), 5 (deep sea), 7 (water cycle), 8 (deep-sea creatures), 9 (seafloor crust) and 10 (glaciers and icebreakers), about 50 minutes.

The older-grade route adds Zone 6 on marine litter and the plastic food chain, about 1 hour 10 minutes. After the main hall, walk Sea Walkway 393 (a 393 m path over the sea) to the undersea observatory, which shows the East Sea about 7 m below the surface without any diving gear. There’s also a wave-sound playground themed on marine ecosystems.
Parking and Transit

Uljin National Marine Science Museum has about 160 spaces, including accessible and large-vehicle spots, free until further notice. By rail, check Donghae Line arrivals at Jukbyeon or Uljin Station on Korail, and confirm the rural bus from Jukbyeon Station for your date.
