Places to Visit in Seoul with Kids: Hanwha 63 Aqua Planet Seoul Aquarium and Mermaid Show

Yans, 4 years old, summer

Since it was vacation, I thought it would be nice to give Yans the experience of an aquarium, so we headed to Seoul.

Selected 63 Aqua Planet

It’s convenient because it’s close to Yongsan Station.

Taking the KTX from Cheonan wasn’t bad.

Since it’s Yans’s first trip with just mom, I also prepared a bag to prevent losing him and all the necessary preparations.

Yans was curious about riding the KTX for the first time.

Since then, he has memories of occasionally riding the KTX with mom.

He says this even as he grows up.

I think I’ve ridden it about three more times since then.

Arrived at the aquarium!

63 Aqua Planet is small in scale.

If you think of something like the COEX Aquarium in Samseong-dong or Jeju Aqua Planet, you might be disappointed, but the small scale is actually a strength as it is well arranged.

For small children, it’s actually better to have a smaller space since they won’t get tired easily.

When we went that day,

Mom, sister, and niece also went together.

The whole family came out to show Yans around!

Cute shark decor~

It seemed like it was a bit dark here, so Yans looked scared.

There were kids’ favorite game machines at intervals

This one only works when you put in a coin.

We didn’t let them play, just showed them around.

While we were looking around, the Little Mermaid show started, so we gathered at the viewing area.

Each Aqua Planet has its representative performance, and for 63, the Little Mermaid show is the highlight!

A foreign mermaid appeared.

How can she swim like that with her eyes open and releasing bubbles underwater?

It’s so amazing that she can swim like that.

Thanks to Yans, mom is also having a rare experience~

Even though I’ve been to Aqua Planet a few times

I don’t remember seeing a performance like this before

Having kids allows me to see this too ^^;

Later, it was allowed for kids to get closer.

The kids were all sticking to the glass wall

Greeting the mermaid.

Yans’s hand greeting, just like a fun seal waving~~

I wonder if this experience was intense for him

Sometimes he asks, “Will the Little Mermaid come out at the aquarium?”

If I say there isn’t one, he looks very disappointed.

Well, mom was also happy because she’s a beautiful mermaid.

Cute stingrays and various fish.

It seems Yans enjoyed it more because he was with his cousin.

Yans was especially excited.

In fact, Yans still dislikes dark places

He doesn’t prefer aquariums

But when he’s with his cousin or friends, he still goes well.

In the past, I had a bad experience at Aqua Planet Yeosu with just me, my husband, and Yans, and we ended up not going.

There are penguins, so we also watched the penguins!
