1. How We Chose Our Da Nang Hotel: Why Radisson?
Da Nang has countless hotels, but few offer an ocean view, near-new facilities and good access all at once.
Radisson sits right in front of My Khe Beach, so you can enjoy beach walks by day and night views from the rooftop pool after dark.
The airport is about 12 minutes away by car,
and the main city sights (Dragon Bridge, Han Market and the Pink Cathedral) are 15 to 20 minutes away.
The ability to enjoy both city access and an ocean-view staycation is Radisson’s biggest strength.
2. Five-Star Rooms and Ocean Views
As you’d expect from a global chain, the rooms at Radisson Hotel Da Nang were spotless.
The ocean-view rooms look out over My Khe Beach, and every morning when I opened the curtains, the view took my breath away.
The room had a Nespresso coffee machine, a free minibar, a bathtub or shower and fast Wi-Fi.
Housekeeping was excellent, and the comfortable bedding made for great sleep.
Since it’s on the beachfront, you may hear music at night, so ask for a room facing away from the road if you want a quiet stay.
3. Rooftop Infinity Pool: A Top Photo Spot
Among Da Nang city hotels, the rooftop infinity pool is the most popular feature.
You can swim while looking out over the open sea, and the sunset over the water is magical.
- Hours: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Poolside bar where you can order drinks; also a popular photo spot
With the blue sea by day and Da Nang’s sparkling lights by night,
it’s a rooftop pool you can enjoy twice a day.
If you’re with kids, the mornings are quiet and relaxed, so I recommend going then.
4. Breakfast: Global-Chain Quality
Breakfast sets the tone for a travel day.
Breakfast at Radisson Hotel Da Nang was neat and offered a good variety.
My favorite was the Vietnamese pho station.
You could choose chicken or beef, and the flavor wasn’t too strong, so our child ate it well.
There were also fresh tropical fruits, breads and pastries, and Western dishes such as salads, bacon and sausages.
The coffee was good, and above all, the staff were friendly.
The menu isn’t as extensive as a luxury resort’s,
but it’s easy to recommend as great value for the price.
