On a 2024 trip to Fukuoka, just Yans and me, I couldn’t skip Don Quijote shopping. Here are the Hadabisei CHOI acne-care and pore-care products I bought at the Don Quijote Tenjin main store, my new Japan shopping must-haves.

Don Quijote Tenjin carries plenty of famous cosmetics and cleansers, but products focused on problem skin like these are worth knowing about for your next trip.

In the cosmetics section, I found the Hadabisei CHOI medicated acne-care series and skin and pore-care series, all classified as quasi-drugs in Japan.
1. Hadabisei Acne Care Series

Medicated Mask Acne Care
- Price: 750 yen, as of 2024
- Contents: 10 sheets

This mask uses a medicated formula to care for acne-prone skin. As of 2024, a pack of 10 sheets was 750 yen at Don Quijote.

All the Hadabisei CHOI products are grouped together, so they’re easy to find. The pack reseals like a zip bag, 10 sheets make it great value, and each sheet is soaked in essence for plenty of moisture.

It helps tighten enlarged pores and hydrate acne marks, and the sheet fits the face without lifting.

It contains a beauty serum and clings without stickiness, leaving a soft, dry finish once it dries. It’s fragrance-free, colorant-free and glycerin-free, and has been allergy and non-comedogenic tested, so it’s gentle enough for daily use. I tend to break out around my period, and using it then felt soothing.

My nephew had just started middle school and was getting a few breakouts, so I bought this face wash as a gift. It’s a medicated cleanser specially formulated for acne care.

You’ll find it below the sheet masks in the cosmetics section.

There’s also a mask and face wash set for 1,200 yen on the bottom shelf, a great-value gift.

This face wash also helps tighten pores and hydrate acne marks, and my skin didn’t feel tight afterward.

The texture is a thick white cream.

A small amount makes a rich lather, leaving skin squeaky clean yet moist.

Hadabisei’s acne care series contains ingredients that remove excess sebum, suitable for adults with frequent breakouts too.
2. Hadabisei Skin and Pore Care Series

Medicated Mask Skin and Pore Care
- Price: 750 yen, as of 2024
- Contents: 10 sheets
Hot weather means more sweat and enlarged pores, and as I get older, pores bother me as much as wrinkles. If pore care is on your mind, I recommend this mask.

The pore care line comes in yellow packaging, unlike the acne care line, and the mask is popular for pore care.

This one also reseals like a zip bag and contains 10 sheets. It’s perfect for hot summers, and I use it often; after a shower, my skin feels firmer.

It works well for targeted pore concerns like the nose, fits comfortably, and is moisturizing and gentle. Using it once or twice a week helps with hydration and elasticity.

This face wash pairs well with the matching mask.

If oily summer skin is a concern, I recommend it. Its fine foam washes away dirt and sebum.

It’s a clear liquid, thinner than the acne care face wash.

It makes less foam than the acne care version, but the fine foam cleans thoroughly.

With moisturizing ingredients, skin stays hydrated after washing. Use it morning and night, then finish with your usual skincare. The pore care series helps tighten pores and control shine for smoother skin, and I noticed a difference on my nose. It’s perfect for home care, and after about a month you’ll likely see an improvement.

Buying the Hadabisei CHOI masks and face washes at Don Quijote Tenjin was a great choice for caring for acne and pores together. If breakouts bother you, pick them up at Don Quijote on your next Japan trip. They’re affordable and generous in size, and I’ll be buying them again on my next visit.
