Fukuoka Anpanman Children’s Museum in Tenjin: Tickets, Show Times and Tips

Fukuoka Anpanman Children's Museum

I’m introducing one of the most popular indoor spots for families in Fukuoka: the Fukuoka Anpanman Children’s Museum in Mall in Tenjin.

Museum entrance

You can play here worry-free on rainy or hot days, and kids get to be the heroes, so it’s a must for parents traveling in Fukuoka.

Character displays

As a mall-style indoor museum, it’s comfortable in any weather, with cafes and shops connected, making it perfect for a full day.

It’s open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last entry at 5 p.m.

Local families visit often, so there are lines on weekends, but weekday mornings are relatively relaxed.

Top 3 Play Zones

1. The “undersea playground” in front of Batako-san’s craft workshop

Anpanman character ball pits and slides

are combined into an energy-burning zone for kids.

Slides

The floor is soft and safe, and kids lose track of time hunting for characters among the colorful balls.

Tip: Go right after opening when it’s quiet. I recommend it as your first stop.

2. Main stage shows at Anpanman Square

The highlight of the museum is the character show.

Anpanman, Currypanman and Shokupanman sing and dance in a musical-style show that keeps kids wide-eyed.

Move about 20 minutes early to grab front seats and catch the photo time.

3. Craft corner

A creative corner with coloring and paper crafts.

Programs change by day and season, and most are free.

A souvenir your child makes is more precious than any gift.

Anpanman Children’s Museum Tickets Explained: Same Price for Adults and Kids (as of 2025)

At the Fukuoka Anpanman Children’s Museum, everyone age 1 and up pays the same price.

Ticket counter

It’s about 2,000 yen on weekdays and about 2,200 yen on weekends and holidays.

Babies under 1 are free, though you may be asked for proof such as a passport.

Every visitor age 1 and up gets a small toy as an entry gift.

The design changes each season, which makes the ticket feel worth it.

Note: Prices may change during special events, and there’s no re-entry, so use the food court inside for snacks and meals.

Tips for Checking Show Times

Shows and events are the heart of the museum.

But schedules change daily, weekly and seasonally, so check before you go.

1. Check the official website

The day before or the morning of your visit, check the Event Schedule on the official website.

It has the latest show times and event information.

Event schedule

2. Ask at the information desk

Right after entry, pick up the day’s show timetable at the 5th-floor information desk and plan your route,

so you don’t miss any shows or activities.

Show stage

Typical show times (subject to change)

* Main show: Anpanman Square, around 12:00 noon and 3:30 p.m.

* Character dance and meet-and-greet: Wow! Park, around 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

* Uta no Stage: Wow! Park, around 12:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

Viewing strategy: Arrive at least 20 minutes early for the main show!

After a show, take a break with Anpanman face bread or cotton candy from nearby shops for a smoother route.

Food Court and Parking Tips

Food court

The museum is full of character food kids go crazy for, like Anpanman face bread and Currypanman lunch sets.

Character bread

Prices are a bit higher than regular shops, but the food becomes a highlight of the trip.

Character lunch set

You can park at the Mitsukoshi department store, but rates are high,

so I recommend the subway, which connects directly to Tenjin Station.

Mall parking

Shopping or dining gets you a parking discount, so keep your receipts.

Museum exit

The Fukuoka Anpanman Children’s Museum isn’t just a character exhibit

but a perfect indoor play space designed at a child’s eye level.

A day full of your child’s laughter becomes an unforgettable memory for parents too.

The family trip itself was the best gift.

Prices, hours and details in this post are from our visit in November 2025 and may have changed, so check the latest information before you go.
