We flew Air Seoul to Kansai for our Osaka trip in May 2018, picking the cheapest option to Osaka.

The night before, we left Yans at my parents’ house. We left at 3:30 in the morning and reached Incheon Airport at 5.

It was raining hard. I worried the plane might not take off, but the rain eased off around departure time.

The airport was already busy at 5 with outbound travelers.

After check-in we headed to the departure gates.

Our plane was Air Seoul, a first for us, and flying Air Seoul to Kansai was the cheapest way to Osaka: about 250,000 won round trip for two.

It was still drizzling outside. The flight was scheduled for 7:05 but left after 7:30.

The plane shook a lot and it was scary, worse with no announcements during the turbulence. Still, we landed somehow.

At Kansai Airport we hurried to the trains for Namba. We took the Nankai line, skipping the pricey Rapi:t for the cheap 920-yen train.

About 40 minutes later we arrived at Nankai Namba. The trip had begun.
