Hi, I’m Yan — a travel creator exploring the world with my child. Welcome to Yan’s World! Hoshino Resort Tomamu in Hokkaido is a true winter wonderland. Among all its dining options, one restaurant stands out for families — Nininupuri, the forest buffet restaurant.

Which Restaurant is Best at Tomamu?
Tomamu has over 20 dining options, from the buffet restaurant
“hal” to the casual spots at Hotaru Street. But for families
with young kids, comfort and kid-friendly menus matter just
as much as taste.
After much consideration, we chose Nininupuri — the restaurant
that perfectly embodies Risonare Tomamu’s concept of
“Graceful Stay.”

The Beauty of Nininupuri’s Space
The moment you walk in, floor-to-ceiling glass windows command
your attention. Beyond the glass, a dense conifer forest becomes
a living work of art.
At night, the forest glows under soft lighting. In the morning,
it’s blanketed in peaceful white snow. This ever-changing
natural backdrop is what makes Nininupuri truly special.

Getting there is easy — free shuttle buses run from both
The Tower and Risonare Tomamu lobbies, making it effortless
for families with kids.

Dinner — The Four Meat Stars
Dinner features a spectacular spread of beef, pork, chicken,
and lamb. The freshly grilled steak, full of juices, is a
hit with kids. The Hokkaido-style lamb dish is especially
popular with adults for its distinctive local flavor.

Wood-fired Pizza
The stone oven pizza made with Hokkaido cheese was incredibly
fragrant and delicious — baked fresh right in front of you!

Breakfast — Build Your Own Seafood Bowl
Mornings shine with fresh Hokkaido seafood. Pile on salmon
roe, salmon, tuna, and more to create your own “Kaisendon”
rice bowl. It’s a fun and delicious experience!
[7]

Hokkaido’s rich milk and freshly baked bread are also
breakfast essentials you shouldn’t miss.

And the must-try French Toast!
This was actually what I was most looking forward to at
breakfast. Sweet, moist, and absolutely delicious —
I found myself craving it even after returning to Korea!

Tips for Visiting with Kids

[10]
Nininupuri is very family-friendly. High chairs and
kids’ tableware are provided, and there’s a dedicated
kids’ corner with lower-height food stations so children
can serve themselves — great for building independence!

After your meal, explore the resort’s other attractions.
The Ice Village runs from December 10, 2025 to March 14,
2026 — a post-dinner stroll to see the ice church and
ice bar is highly recommended!
[12]

Dining at Nininupuri was so much more than just a meal.
Sharing conversation with family while gazing at the
forest outside, energized by Hokkaido’s fresh food —
it washed away all the fatigue of travel.
Open during winter season: December 1, 2025 – April 1, 2026.
