Managaha Island Saipan Guide: Reservation, Snorkeling & Parasailing Tips

Saipan Managaha Island Tour Reservation Preparation Snorkeling Parasailing

Hello, this is Yans World, traveling overseas worldwide with my child.

I recently returned from a trip to Saipan.

When you go to Saipan, you must visit Managaha Island; the sea is so incredibly beautiful that it makes me want to go to Saipan again.

That’s how much it makes you want to go back.

Let me show you how beautiful the Saipan sea is and the Managaha Island tour that Yans and I enjoyed.

1. Reservation and Preparation

I booked the Managaha Island tour through Nolda Saipan while planning my trip. I had high expectations for Managaha Island as it is famous for its emerald blue waters and clean beaches. A pickup service was provided from the hotel, making it convenient to get around.

Thanks to booking through Nolda Saipan, all the schedules went very smoothly. In particular, Nolda Saipan’s friendly customer service and detailed guidance made travel preparation much easier.

For your reference, this tour is paid out of my own pocket, so you can trust it ^^

There were detailed explanations about various activities and on-site information, so even first-time visitors to Managaha Island could easily adapt. Nolda Saipan offered a variety of package options, allowing me to choose a tour that suited me, and I was very satisfied with that.

The optional pricing for Managhaha Island + Parasailing is as follows:

– Per person (ages 1 and up): $55

– Minimum of 2 people / same price for adults and children

– Height 120cm or taller

Fortunately, Yans was over 120cm, so he was able to experience parasailing.

What to prepare when visiting Managhaha Island

1. Essential items: Be sure to bring snorkeling gear, a mat, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

2. Lunch box and snacks: You can buy drinks and snacks at the store on the island, but it’s better to prepare them in advance.

3. Prepare cash: You need to pay the dock tax ($10) and environmental tax ($3), so bring cash. It’s also a good idea to have cash ready for the store.

4. Time management: Check the arrival and departure times carefully, and book your desired activities in advance.

5. Comfortable attire: Wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable for activities in the sea.

6. Prepare your camera: Be sure to bring a camera to capture the emerald sea and beautiful beach.

While riding the speed boat, I saw sea turtles along the way ^^

The mystery of nature 👍🏻👍🏻

2. Arriving at Managaha Island

The time we arrived at Managaha Island was 9:10 AM, and the departure time was 12:00 PM. As soon as we arrived, what caught our eye was the beautiful environment.

There is a schedule for entry times, so be sure to check the arrival and departure times

We had to pay a port tax ($10) and an environmental tax ($3) per person upon entering the island, but this cost was understandable as it goes toward nature conservation and facility maintenance. Visiting Managhaha Island on this trip seems to have been the best choice.

The weather was so great too. I was worried because it rained in the morning that day, but to my surprise, when we entered Managhaha Island, the sky was completely clear and sunny.

3. Beach and Snorkeling

For the first schedule, we decided to go snorkeling at Managa Island.

The beach at Managa Island was amazingly beautiful. A wide white sandy beach stretched out, and clear, transparent seawater was waving over it.

Yans was a little scared of the water,

but still, since we were doing it, he did it little by little.

First of all, the seawater was so clear ^^ I think he wasn’t scared.

Equipment could be rented on-site or by advance reservation, and it was convenient because it included all the essentials like snorkeling gear, life jackets, and fins.

We already had our own equipment, so we didn’t

rent any, but I think it would be good for those who want to rent.

While snorkeling, we could see various fish, and the emerald color of the underwater was truly beautiful.

While snorkeling on the beach of Managaha Island, I could see various fish, and I was able to personally experience mysterious marine life in the emerald sea. Especially for those traveling with children, it will be a great opportunity to have an educational and fun time.

If you prepare sliced bread or bread in advance, it is also good for attracting fish

The sand is also very fine

So the children enjoyed playing in the sand

more than snorkeling

Yans also met a friend of the same age on Managaha Island and played in the sand

The beach was well-maintained so we could sit down and relax anywhere, and there were several parasols and beach chairs prepared nearby. When we entered the sea, the colorful corals and fish visible under our feet made it feel like we were in an aquarium.

You can also rent parasols or mats at Nolda Saipan, so it might be nice to rent them together.

The transparent emerald sea and sky are simply a work of art.

It is like a painting. In my entire life, will I ever see an ocean like this again, besides Saipan’s Managaha Island?

The facilities on Managaha Island were clean and well-maintained, and necessary items could be easily purchased at the Managaha Island store. Also, the boats departing from the dock ran regularly every hour, making transportation convenient.

At lunchtime, we could eat the Managaha Island lunch box and drinks. The lunch box could be ordered in advance, and it could also be purchased on-site with the same lunch box. You can choose between bulgogi and spicy pork.

The store also sells ramen, so if you get hungry while playing in the water, you can buy it here.

Since our family planned to go back to the hotel to eat, we didn’t prepare a separate lunch box.

Still, it’s a good idea to bring water, drinks, or snacks as supplies.

Since we departed the island at 12 o’clock, we stayed on the island for about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Even if you don’t stay long on Manahaga Island, you can still capture plenty of scenery.

Since we had some time left, we leisurely looked around the island. There were only a few people on the beach side, and not many people elsewhere, so it was also good for taking pictures.

I heard it’s a resort that locals visit often too.

4. Parasailing

Upon entering the island, we enjoyed snorkeling, and on the way out, we did parasailing.

The guide in Saipan explained things very kindly, so booking parasailing was really easy.

At the departure time, tell your name to the guide riding the speed boat, and they will tell you which boat we will board.

Yance’s first parasailing experience

You can see how scared he is, right?

He’s the kind of kid who gets scared by things like this, so he was afraid, but he rode it well

Because he’s light, I rode in the back with Yance together

We did parasailing while leaving Managa Island, and before departure, the guide explained the safety rules and precautions in detail. Thanks to the guide’s instructions, even though it was my first time parasailing, I was able to enjoy it without any nervousness. The view of Managa Island from the sky was truly fantastic.

My family also saw sea turtles while parasailing

Fantastic Managaha Island Tour

The Managaha Island tour includes various activities, so you can enjoy water play and snorkeling all day long.

Let me mention a few things to keep in mind

Before boarding the boat at the dock, check your receipt and have cash ready. There may be additional costs to enjoy various activities. Please note that simple drinks and snacks can be purchased at the convenience store near the dock.

On a nice day, the sky and sea come together to create a really beautiful scenery. Most of the time the weather is good, so I don’t think you need to worry.

Among the travel destinations in Saipan, Managaha Island was the best place to travel freely.

The Saipan Managaha Island tour was truly an unforgettable experience. I recommend the Managaha Island tour to everyone visiting Saipan.
