On the Road to Switzerland in 2008: The Alps and a Youth Hostel

On the Road to Switzerland

Swiss Alps: On the road to Switzerland

We drove and drove from Venice until late at night, and arrived in Switzerland. In the distance the Swiss Alps began to appear. True to the name “eternal snow,” the Alps were covered in snow.

The snow-covered Swiss Alps

Halfway up the snowy mountain sat houses. It felt like Santa’s village from a fairy tale, and I felt like a child again.

The Swiss Alps, the village and the lake seen from above… the best view of all. I was asleep and missed it, I was so tired. So I only have what our companions captured on their cameras.

Finally we arrived at the youth hostel where we would stay.
