While walking through Rome, we stopped briefly at the Ara Pacis Museum. A cool, lovely fountain in front of it caught our eye, and we took photos there, only to realize the building behind us was the museum itself.

The museum houses the Ara Pacis, the Altar of Peace, a monument to Augustus from ancient Rome. We had only meant to pause by the fountain, but the stop turned into a small discovery.
