After working hard on the promo sale, we scored Okinawa flights. We’d planned to go on our wedding anniversary, November 4-7, but those dates were already gone. What peak season!
So we planned our first wedding anniversary trip to Okinawa for November 19-22. Luckily there were seats. But the outbound promo fares were already gone, so we booked the outbound at 60,000 won and the return on promo at 5,900 won. But the extras cost more than the fare! The airport facility fee was 38,400 won. The outbound includes free checked baggage, but the promo fare doesn’t allow free checked baggage on the return, so we added paid checked baggage for my husband only at 20,000 won. I’ll pack light and carry on. So round-trip Okinawa flights came to 114,300 won per person! 228,600 won for two. Is that cheap? Not sure. But Jeju Air’s promo sale feels like bait. The site barely loads, and everything’s sold out when you get in. And the so-called promo fares for outbound aren’t even cheap, like 60,000-70,000 won. Feels like falling for marketing.
