The Arc de Triomphe was visible over there, but I really had to walk uphill for a while. Maybe 30 minutes? The Champs-Élysées is long, really long. But the Champs-Élysées, praised as the beautiful street, turned out to be just ordinary lamp lighting. A bit disappointing. And the fact that Paris’s Arc de Triomphe was modeled after Rome’s triumphal arch! A copy, not the original, yet so famous. A bit disappointing. But as a shopping street, it’s Paris after all.
