Canal City Ramen Stadium
Ramen right away! Fukuoka is especially famous for tonkotsu ramen. Made from pork bones, I had never tried it, so I headed to the Canal City ramen stadium full of expectations. My mom asked why eat ramen and did not want to, but I insisted you must eat ramen in Japan, and dragged reluctant mom to eat ramen.

On the 5th floor of Canal City, there is the Ramen Stadium. Famous ramen from all over the country gather here, each with a different taste.

Ramen shops line up. I chose the one with the longest line.

You pick your ramen from a vending machine. I got tonkotsu ramen, and mom, who disliked ramen, picked gyoza.

Tonkotsu ramen. A bit greasy. Still, I think Korean ramyeon is the best. And the gyoza. Just okay. After eating, behind the exit there is a model of a ramen street stall.

Taking a photo of mom. It was not a “wow, delicious, I want more” moment, but this Canal City ramen is worth trying once.
