Macau, where dazzling neon meets Portuguese charm, makes choosing a hotel the biggest question when traveling with kids.

We stayed at Andaz Macau, inside the Galaxy resort complex, combining convenience with a stylish vibe.

Here’s our stay, with luxury rest and the Grand Resort Deck water park, the heart of any Macau trip.

Located inside the Galaxy resort, it’s both convenient and hip.

Let’s look at why families with kids love it.
1. Why Choose Andaz Macau?

You’ve probably agonized over hotel lists: Will it be dated? Is the pool good for kids? Is it connected to the mall?

Andaz Macau solved all of those at once.

Brand-new condition: connected to the Galaxy complex yet one of its newest hotels, so rooms are in top shape.

Galaxy infrastructure: shopping, dining and the water park are all reachable without leaving the complex.

Distinctive art: striking artworks from the moment you enter the lobby add to the excitement.
2. Stylish Rooms and Andaz Dining

First, the art-filled lobby and rooms.
The first thing we felt on arrival was how hip Andaz Macau is.

The Andaz Lounge isn’t just a check-in waiting area; it feels like a gallery. Artworks reinterpreting Macau’s culture and history sparked plenty of conversation with our child.

Opening the door, cozy bedding and Galaxy’s glittering view greet you.

Cleanliness and space matter with kids, and the rooms were modern yet practical.

Free minibar: an Andaz signature, with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks free of charge, which the kids loved.

Thoughtful amenities: toothbrushes, toothpaste and other basics, with eco-friendly bamboo materials that impressed me.
Next, the breakfast and dining you shouldn’t miss.

Breakfast is the highlight of a staycation.

The breakfast at Andaz Kitchen offers a great variety.

From made-to-order noodles and fresh pastries

to dim sum, even picky kids kept saying “Yum!” and cleaned their plates.
In the evening, try the Andaz Bar; its chicken and beer menu was perfect after a long day. Enjoying quality chicken and beer without leaving the hotel is a big plus for parents.
3. Galaxy Macau’s Highlight: The Grand Resort Deck

The strongest reason to choose Andaz Macau is using Galaxy Macau’s facilities like your own.

The Grand Resort Deck is more than a water park.
Andaz Macau guests get free access to the Grand Resort Deck, home to one of the world’s largest skytop wave pools.

It’s an exclusive water park for Galaxy hotel guests only.
Tip: you can use it every day from check-in to check-out, even on check-out day after storing your bags. Family perks: two guests enter free, and children in the family usually enter free too.

Main features: float on a tube along the Skytop Adventure Rapids, one of the world’s longest lazy rivers, or play in the sand on the realistic artificial beach.

Don’t miss the Diamond Lobby and shopping.
After swimming, connected walkways lead into the Galaxy for shopping and sightseeing.
Diamond Lobby: the fountain show where a giant diamond rises is a must-see photo spot, held every 30 minutes.

Crystal Lobby: sparkling crystal decorations you can’t take your eyes off.
4. No-Fail Dining: Galaxy Restaurant Picks

No trip is complete without good food. With around 120 restaurants inside the Galaxy, choosing is a happy dilemma. Here’s one I tried and highly recommend.

Bei Shan Lou, the essence of northern Chinese cuisine.
This Chinese restaurant inside the Galaxy suits Korean tastes perfectly.
Must-order: guobaorou, crispy-chewy sweet and sour pork that kids love. Atmosphere: an elegant red interior, ideal for a family meal.

Famous Hong Kong and Macau restaurants are also in the mall, so you can eat your way through rain or shine.

Coffee lovers should also stop by the Rosa coffee shop inside Galaxy.
When you need a coffee break in Macau, this café offers coffee and desserts in an elegant European-style setting, perfect for a relaxing pause.

5. Handy Travel Tips
Finally, transport and booking tips to help you plan.

The best transport tip is to use free shuttle buses.
Macau’s hotel shuttles are excellent.

At the airport or ferry terminal, look for the gold or white “Galaxy Macau” shuttle bus for a comfortable free ride to Andaz Macau. Save the taxi fare for another egg tart!

The indoor pool and gym are also luxurious, new and clean, and not crowded, perfect for relaxing.
One more booking tip.
Agoda and Booking.com are fine, but compare the benefits on the official website too.
With kids, trips are full of variables, so you need both convenience and fun. Andaz Macau offered Galaxy’s vast facilities plus its own calm, stylish rest, a perfect choice.
Consider making special family memories at Andaz Macau on your next holiday.
