Hello, this is Yans World, a travel creator traveling the world with my child 🙂

Today, I will introduce Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a must-visit attraction during a Busan trip.

A temple located on a blue sea cliff, not in the mountains, and is considered the ‘number 1 must-visit place in Busan’.

The story of Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, the number 1 must-visit place in Busan

Haedong Yonggungsa is a historic temple founded by Monk Naong in the 2nd year of King U of Goryeo (1376).

It is famous for the legend that ‘if you pray sincerely, you can fulfill one wish,’

It is considered one of Korea’s three major Avalokitesvara pilgrimage sites.

It is special in that it is a temple built on a seaside cliff rather than a mountain.

The cliff path walked along with the sound of the waves offers a tranquil impression that cannot be felt at other temples.
