Sapporo Susukino Hotel
Travelodge Value Hotel

Hello, this is Yans World, a travel creator who travels the world with my child.

If you are planning a trip to Sapporo, choosing accommodation is the biggest concern.

For this Hokkaido trip, I chose Travelodge Sapporo Susukino, which satisfied all three criteria: price, location, and cleanliness. As a newly opened hotel, it was clean, and above all, the location was truly outstanding.

In the heart of Susukino, the perfect location to reduce travel fatigue

The key to a Sapporo trip is the travel route. Travelodge is a 5-6 minute walk from Susukino Station on the Namboku Subway Line, and it’s also within walking distance from Nakajima Park Station.

All major attractions such as Nijo Market, Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and Nakajima Park were within a 10-minute walk, so there was almost no additional transportation cost.
There was a FamilyMart right next to the hotel, so I could buy simple snacks or drinks even late at night. The New Chitose Airport limousine bus stop was also a 10-minute walk away, making airport transfers very convenient.
Susukino’s Ramen Alley, famous Genghis Khan restaurants, and the izakaya street were all close by, making it the perfect location for a “hotel-centered trip.”

Newly built and opened in 2023, cleanliness completes true value for money

Travelodge is a newly opened hotel that opened in February 2023, and I can confidently recommend it for its cleanliness.

The room interior combines Japanese minimalist sensibility with modern lighting, creating a cozy and luxurious atmosphere.

Although it has the compact structure characteristic of Japanese business hotels, the space efficiency was excellent, so it didn’t feel cramped.
The bedding was soft and warm, and it felt like it completely melted away the day’s fatigue.

The bathroom is mostly a shower booth type without a bathtub, and it was convenient to use with a dry and wet separation design. Water does not splash, so it stays clean, and amenities (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, etc.) are above basic.

The room is fully equipped with an air purifier, refrigerator, electric kettle, and free Wi-Fi. I was able to stay comfortably even during the dry Hokkaido winter.
However, some rooms have windows that do not open or offer a wall view, so they are better suited for those who prioritize a good night’s sleep and practicality over a view.

Practical facilities for guests

A coin laundry, essential for long-term travelers, is available on the second floor. With a washing machine, dryer, microwave, and beverage vending machine all installed together, it was especially convenient for family travelers.
Breakfast is available for a fee, but it offers a buffet-style setup at a reasonable price. The menu isn’t flashy, but it includes a well-rounded selection of warm rice, bread, salad, egg dishes, and even specialty Sapporo dishes.
Especially if you have children, it was great to be able to take care of a simple meal right in the hotel without having to look for restaurants nearby.

Actual cost-effectiveness evaluation — the perfect trio of location, cleanliness, and price
The biggest charm of Travelodge Sapporo Susukino is, of course, its ‘cost performance’.
If it’s not peak season, we could stay for under 100,000 won for two people, and with this level of condition in a new hotel, satisfaction is bound to be high.
The surrounding area is packed with restaurants, shopping streets, and tourist attractions, so there’s no extra transportation cost or travel time, which is another economical advantage.

If you’re looking for a cost-effective hotel in Sapporo, it ends here!
Travelodge Sapporo Susukino isn’t a flashy luxury hotel,
but it was the optimal choice for ‘practical travelers’ who perfectly satisfies the three key elements: location, cleanliness, and price.

The trip with my family was the best gift in itself.
