Macau is no longer just a casino city; it has become a luxury staycation destination.

At the center of it all is the Grand Resort Deck at Galaxy Macau.
Whether you’re with kids, a partner or on your own, it’s not just a hotel pool but one of Asia’s most luxurious resort-style water parks.
1. A Massive Pool Complex on a Different Scale

Inside the Galaxy resort complex, the Grand Resort Deck is a huge pool area shared by guests of five hotels: Galaxy, JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Okura and Andaz.

It covers 75,000 square meters,
home to the Skytop Wave Pool, one of the world’s largest,
and the 575-meter Skytop Adventure Rapids lazy river.

It feels more like a theme park than a pool, and a full day isn’t enough.
2. The 4 Must-Try Facilities at the Grand Resort Deck

1. Skytop Wave Pool
The deck’s signature space, with artificial waves up to 1.5 meters rolling in like a real beach.
Riding the waves under the Macau sun, the words “paradise on earth” come naturally.

2. Skytop Adventure Rapids
At 575 meters, it’s billed as the world’s longest elevated lazy river!
Float through artificial caves and tropical gardens, and get great photos in the clear tube section.

3. Artificial beach and water slide tower
The soft sandy beach is a sandbox paradise for kids.
The colorful 9-meter slide tower is great for thrills and popular with young travelers.
4. Kids’ aquatic play zone
A kids-only area with fountains, water guns, slides and a splash tower,
with shallow water and lifeguards on duty, so parents can relax.
3. Perfect Breaks Between Swims

The Grand Resort Deck has poolside restaurants and a cabana zone.
You can enjoy everything from pizza, pasta and chicken wings to cocktails and beer, or nap in a spacious cabana.

Watching your child play in the water from a cabana in the afternoon sun
with a cold beer, you’ll understand why it’s called Macau’s ultimate staycation.
4. Tips to Get the Most Out of the Grand Resort Deck

Guests only
Only guests of Galaxy resort hotels can enter the Grand Resort Deck.
Even with early check-in, you can get your entry wristband at reception in advance, so be sure to ask.

Hours
It usually runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., varying by season.
Before 10 a.m. there are fewer crowds for photos, and after 4 p.m. the sunset light is beautiful.
What to bring
Swimsuit, float (rentals available), waterproof phone case and slippers are a must!
The sun is strong, so pack sunscreen.
Best photo spots
The clear tube on the lazy river, the sandy beach by the wave pool and the palm-lined path in front of the cabanas:
these three are the most popular photo spots on social media.
5. Summer Water Parties
During the July–September summer season, there are DJ shows and water roller ball events.
Amid music, lights and spray,
you can enjoy Macau’s nights in a completely different way.
The Galaxy Macau Grand Resort Deck isn’t just a pool
but a water park-style retreat where you’ll want to stay all day.
The kids’ zone for families, cabanas for couples, quiet time in the wave pool for solo travelers:
it satisfies everyone.
On your next Macau trip, choose Galaxy
and experience this stunning pool complex and luxury staycation yourself.
