If you’re taking kids to Incheon Children’s Science Museum, don’t count on buying tickets at the door. Book a permanent-exhibition session online from 14 days before your visit. Each session lasts 120 minutes with no re-entry, and the 4D theater must be booked separately after paying for the exhibition. Prioritize the Human Body and Secret villages for younger elementary kids, and the Earth, City and Secret villages for older ones.

Summer vacation and rainy weekends bring crowds of families looking for indoor activities. Admission is low, but booking and session rules are strict, so treating it like a walk-in museum can derail your plans. The key is choosing a 120-minute slot that fits your child’s routine rather than just a date.
Booking Opens 14 Days Ahead

The permanent exhibition at Incheon Children’s Science Museum runs on pre-booked sessions with set capacity. Individual bookings open 14 days before your visit and close when each session starts. Remaining spots show live on the official booking page, so check right when booking opens if you want a weekend morning.
Sessions start at 9:20 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:40 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. and last 120 minutes each. Once you leave you can’t come back, so handle restrooms, meals and drinks before entering. Tickets aren’t refunded after the entry time has passed.
Choose Exhibits by Grade

The official recommended route is the Human Body and Secret villages on the second floor for younger elementary kids, and the Earth, City and Secret villages on the third floor plus the 4D theater for older ones. Trying every exhibit in order eats up your time at the start. Before going in, ask your child which they’re most curious about, the body, the earth or the city, and pick two zones first.

The Rainbow Village for toddlers doesn’t admit school-age kids. If siblings are far apart in age, the whole family may not be able to do the same activities together, so check the rules and follow staff guidance.
Admission and the 4D Theater

Permanent-exhibition admission at Incheon Children’s Science Museum is 2,000 won for ages 7–12 and 13–19, and 4,000 won for adults aged 20–64. Kids 6 and under with a guardian are free with proof of age. The 4D theater costs 1,000 won for kids and teens and 3,000 won for adults, bookable only by exhibition visitors.

Two adults and one elementary child pay 10,000 won for the exhibition, or 17,000 won with 4D for everyone. For free-entry kids, bring a photo of a resident registration, health insurance card, passport or family relation certificate.
No Eating Inside the Museum

To protect the hands-on exhibits, food isn’t allowed in, and you can’t eat inside. If you brought food, leave it in the first-floor lockers and use the rest area or outdoor benches.

The 11:30 session overlaps lunchtime, so have a light meal before entering.

A small kids’ memo board with a wrist strap is handy for writing down three questions to look up at home.
Closing Days and Summer Programs

Incheon Children’s Science Museum is open 9 a.m.–5:50 p.m., with ticket sales until 5 p.m. It’s closed Mondays, January 1, and Seollal and Chuseok days; if Monday is a public holiday, it closes the next day. Special programs, such as weekend science fairs in August, may be announced, so check notices too.

Incheon Children’s Science Museum is a great weather-proof choice with two focused hours of science. On the downside, there’s no re-entry, food is restricted and popular sessions need booking. Once you pick a date, set a reminder for 14 days before and choose two exhibits with your kids.
