N Seoul Tower Observatory Guide: Tickets, Hours and How to Get There

N Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower (YTN Seoul Tower), the symbol and signature landmark of Seoul, is one of the city’s must-visit spots.

Seoul view

By day you see the city spread out under blue skies, and by night the sparkling Seoul skyline.

Here’s everything you need on N Seoul Tower observatory tickets, hours and how to get there.

N Seoul Tower Observatory: All of Seoul in One View

Namsan tower

Rising from the top of Namsan Mountain, the tower itself is 236.7 m tall,

reaching about 400 m above sea level.

Observatory
Panoramic view

From here you get a 360-degree panorama of Seoul, and on clear days you can see as far as the sea off Incheon and the ridges of Bukhansan.

Go up around sunset, when the sky turns red, and you’ll watch the city lights switch on right before your eyes.

That moment shows exactly why it’s called a top Seoul night view spot.

Highlights at N Seoul Tower

How to Get to N Seoul Tower: Cable Car or Circular Bus

Namsan cable car

The tower sits on the summit of Namsan, so besides walking you can take the Namsan cable car or the Namsan circular bus.

Namsan cable car

  • Comfortable for all ages, with views over central Seoul on the way, so it’s also popular as a romantic date course.
  • Round-trip fares are about 15,000 won for adults and about 11,500 won for children.

Namsan circular bus (01A, 01B)

  • The fare is a cheap 1,400 won or so,

and it’s a relaxed ride through Namsan’s nature.

  • You can board at major stops, and it goes straight to the tower.

Caution

Regular vehicles can’t drive up to the summit.

If you come by car, park at the Namsan cable car parking lot or a Namsan public parking lot and continue from there.
