Driving through Gangwon-do, hunger struck and we pulled into the first restaurant we saw: Samgol Restaurant. It turned out to be a lucky stop for sanchae bibimbap.
A confident kitchen
The restaurant’s sign boasts that you do not pay if the food is not good, strong confidence. We ordered sanchae bibimbap.

A generous spread
The sanchae bibimbap arrived with a generous spread of sides, hearty and plentiful for the price.

Tasty, filling, and fairly priced: for a random roadside choice, Samgol Restaurant’s sanchae bibimbap left us completely satisfied, and I still crave it.
