Suwon Comic Cafe Seom
We love comics so much that we have a go-to comic cafe in every neighborhood. The Suwon comic cafe near Suwon Station is “Seom”. When I first went, it was empty, and I wondered if the business would survive. These days it gets quite busy, almost full on weekends.

Seom feels like Santorini, Greece. It is not big, but the interior is charming and cute, with Moomins around. Uniquely, instead of entry cards like other places, they give you a numbered LEGO. They often run entry packages, and the coffee that comes with the package is tasty.

There are cute No-Face and Doraemon figures, plus Minion figures!

The second-floor rooms make great use of the small space and are impressive.

Each room has a big plush toy. We sat at a table instead of a room and read comics. I reread “Tenshi ni Narumon” after a long time, a real Stone Age comic!

I used to read it with so much joy as a kid! This must have been the week after we got back from Japan. At Seom, order the spicy chicken ramen and add cheese: pure bliss. Downsides: it is a bit smaller than other comic cafes, and the collection is not huge, but this Suwon comic cafe has everything that matters. Ordered food takes a while to arrive, but it is clean and quiet, which I love.

And it was White Day that day! Macarons from my partner! He buys me macarons every White Day. Thank you!
