Chungnam Safety Experience Center in Cheonan: Free Indoor Safety Training for Kids

Chungnam Safety Experience Center

I’m introducing the Chungnam Safety Experience Center in Cheonan, where we spent a meaningful day with our child.

It’s an indoor attraction that’s worry-free on rainy or cold days, full of both learning and fun.

Survival Skills Learned by Doing: The Chungnam Safety Experience Center

Center building

At the foot of Taejosan in Cheonan, the Chungnam Safety Experience Center is a comprehensive education center themed on disaster safety.

It’s not an exhibit hall but a hands-on center where you learn with your body.

Instructors who are former firefighters simulate real situations, which made it incredibly vivid.

Fire evacuation training

Doing fire evacuation drills or bracing against strong wind in the typhoon room with my child,

I naturally felt the real need for safety education beyond simple play.

Zones Organized by Age

Best of all, there was a wide range of programs to choose from depending on your child’s age.

Children’s Safety Village (recommended for ages 4–7)

Firefighter experience

My child tried the Children’s Safety Village.

Wearing a little firefighter uniform and putting out a fire, my child’s eyes sparkled.

Learning about everyday dangers like a game kept my child from getting bored.

Social disaster and natural disaster experiences (recommended for elementary school and up)

Disaster simulation

For elementary schoolers and up, high-rise fire, traffic accident, earthquake and typhoon experiences will be memorable.

Escaping with a descent device or sitting in a shaking car crash simulator,

I realized, “This is what we should do if this really happens.”

To kids it feels like a game, but it’s real survival training.

4D theater and permanent exhibition

In the 4D theater, you can watch footage of a spreading fire in immersive 3D.

The exhibition hall displays the history of disasters and rescue equipment,

so adults enjoyed it as much as kids.

Thoughtful Touches for Families

Above all, the parking lot is large, so it’s easy for families.

After the activities, we walked to Taejosan Park for a stroll.

It was a day blending nature and education right in the city.

More Than an Experience: Building Your Family’s Safety Awareness

The Chungnam Safety Experience Center wasn’t just a playground for kids.

While having fun, safety rules naturally sink in,

and it gave us parents a chance to reflect on our family’s safety.

Most surprising of all, every program was free.

With learning, fun and great value all in one,

it easily ranks as the top indoor spot to visit with kids in Cheonan.

If you want a more meaningful weekend than a simple outing,

I recommend the Chungnam Safety Experience Center on Taejosan-gil in Cheonan.

It gives kids safety lessons learned through play

and gives parents a reassuring shield of peace of mind.

Prices, hours and details in this post are from our visit in October 2025 and may have changed, so check the latest information before you go.
